Willis's wife has terrible news. "The worst part is, I don't know if he knows"
Bruce Willis's wife, Emma Heming Willis, has posted another update on social media about the Hollywood star's health status. Unfortunately, the updates do not bear any good news. "Currently, there is no medication or any other form of treatment for his condition," emphasizes Emma Heming Willis.
In February of this year, Emma Heming Willis posted a statement on Instagram in which she shared detailed information about the situation her famous husband found himself in. Among other things, she wrote "Since we announced in spring 2022 that Bruce is suffering from aphasia, his health has deteriorated and we now have a more specific diagnosis: frontotemporal dementia (known as FTD). Although this is painful, it has brought relief to finally have a clear diagnosis".
Bruce Willis' wife and daughters then made the decision not to hide information about the health condition of the Hollywood star from the media in the hope that in this way they will be able to create an atmosphere of relative peace around the actor.
In the subsequent published recordings, Emma Heming Willis, often with tears in her eyes, talked about her husband's deteriorating health condition. The actor's illness greatly affected his loved ones. The former model fully understands what life is like with a person suffering from dementia, which is why she decided to support families in a similar situation.
- FTD is an abbreviation for frontotemporal dementia or degeneration. This disease affects the frontal and temporal lobes of the brain. Currently, there is no medication or any other way to treat it. This is one of the many reasons why raising awareness about FTD is so important – Emma Heming states in the recording.
On Monday, Bruce Willis's wife also appeared on NBC's Today show, where, among other things, she said: "The worst part is that I don't know if he knows. It's really hard to tell. Sometimes I get the feeling he realizes he's sick... Although I think maybe it would be better if he didn't know."
