According to Politico, Orban is to be the only Union leader who will participate in the forum. The Prime Minister of Hungary is to meet with the most important Chinese politicians on Monday and Tuesday.

Putin has also accepted the forum invitation. The spokesman for Prime Minister Orban did not answer the question from the newspaper "Nepszava", whether he intends to meet with the Russian dictator, who is wanted by the International Criminal Court in The Hague for war crimes committed by Russian forces in Ukraine.

The journal "Magyar Nemzet" confirms that Putin will appear in China, but this has not been announced to the public. Moreover, Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov is expected to be in China from October 15th to 17th Eastern Time.

Hungarian politicians regularly meet with politicians from Russia and Belarus. In mid-September, in the corridors of the UN General Assembly session in New York, the head of the Hungarian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Peter Szijjarto, met with Lavrov again, encouraging his western counterparts to do the same.
