The recording from Germany caused quite a stir online. In the short video, we see a huge herd of wild boars. The animals are lying in a field next to the road. At a certain point, they start moving.

Then the boars run across the road. Everything was recorded by a passenger in one of the vehicles.

The incident took place in the Oderbruch region. It is located in the eastern part of the country, in the Oder River valley, near the border with Poland.

The recording received various reactions.

"Where are the hunters?", "Why are you scaring us?", "They have their forest; why are they coming onto human territories?" were among the comments.

Can a wild boar attack a human?

A wild boar can attack a human, although it usually avoids contact with people. Attacks most often occur in situations where the animal feels threatened or cornered.

Particularly dangerous are sows defending their young and boars during the mating season, which falls between November and January. During these times, wild boars become more aggressive and territorial.

A wild boar attack is swift and violent. The animal can accelerate up to 25 mph, striking the victim with a lowered head and then using its tusks to inflict wounds.

The greatest risk of attack occurs when a person accidentally finds themselves between a sow and her young or when they surprise a boar in dense vegetation where the animal has no escape route.
