WHO warns the situation is deteriorating "hour by hour"
World Health Organization (WHO) representative, Richard Peeperkorn, has alerted that conditions in the Gaza Strip worsen each hour. The escalating bombings executed by Israel are highlighted as the cause. It's particularly severe in the southern areas of the enclave.

"The intense bombing is happening everywhere, including here in the south, in Khan Younis and even in Rafah," emphasized Peeperkorn when speaking to journalists.
Gaza Strip civilians in dire straits
Peeperkorn is not alone in drawing attention to the worsening situation in the Gaza Strip. On Monday, Lynn Hastings, United Nations Coordinator for Humanitarian Aid for Palestinian Territories, expressed similar concerns.
Hastings noted that post-December 1, following the ceasefire's conclusion in Israel's conflict with Hamas, Israeli military operations expanded to the south of the Strip. This has forced tens of thousands of people to flee.
Devastating bombings in the south
Hastings emphasized that the current conditions are so harsh, delivering the necessary aid to civilians has become impossible.
On Tuesday, the Israeli army amplified military actions against militants from the Palestinian organization Hamas in the southern Gaza Strip. There were skirmishes around Khan Younis at night, now a new tension hotspot, according to AFP.
Israeli forces also launched nocturnal air raids towards Rafah, at the southern tip of the Gaza Strip. The Palestinian news agency Wafa reported that the city of Gaza was attacked, causing numerous casualties.
