Recipe for asparagus on puff pastry

Creating this delectable appetizer is straightforward and does not require advanced cooking skills. With just 15 minutes, you can present a dish worthy of a restaurant. All you need is puff pastry, fresh asparagus, and other ingredients.

Ingredients:

  • 1 sheet of puff pastry,
  • 1-2 bundles of green asparagus,
  • 3 eggs,
  • 3 tablespoons of 18% cream,
  • a package of small mozzarella balls,
  • a few small tomatoes,
  • salt, pepper, a pinch of sugar,
  • a bit of chopped dill.

Preparation:

  1. Wash, snap, and peel the asparagus. Blanch it in salted water with a pinch of sugar for a few minutes. After boiling, drain and cool it under cold water.
  2. Whisk the eggs with the cream in a bowl, seasoning with salt, pepper, and dill.
  3. Place the puff pastry on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper and fold the edges slightly.
  4. Spread part of the egg mixture onto the pastry and bake in an oven preheated to 356 degrees F.
  5. When the egg mixture is set, take out the pastry and top it with asparagus and sliced tomatoes.
  6. Cover with the remaining egg mixture and sprinkle with mozzarella.
  7. Bake for about 20 minutes or until the puff pastry is golden brown.
