Strawberry tiramisu: A recipe for a summertime delight

Strawberry tiramisu offers a delightful Polish twist on the classic Italian dessert. The traditional blend of coffee, mascarpone cheese, and biscuits doused in liquor is enriched with fresh, succulent strawberries. This addition imparts a refreshing, light taste to the dessert, while the strawberries’ fruity essence beautifully complements the creamy mascarpone. Selecting fresh strawberries is key for an optimal tiramisu experience, particularly when Polish markets are teeming with aromatic, flavorful fruits. This recipe is ideally prepared in two tiramisu cups, each holding approximately 13.5 oz, although a baking tin can also serve as an alternative. Ensure the mascarpone and cream are chilled in advance.

Ingredients:

- Approximately 3.4 fl oz of espresso coffee,
- 9 ladyfingers,
- 8.8 oz of mascarpone cheese,
- About 1-1.4 fl oz of Amaretto liqueur,
- 4.2 oz of 30% cream,
- 1 packet of cream fix,
- 1.1 oz of powdered sugar,
- 7 oz of strawberries,
- 3 level tablespoons of cocoa.

Method of preparation:

1. Brew about 3.4 fl oz of espresso coffee, utilizing 4 espressos (around 0.8 fl oz each) and 0.25 oz of freshly ground coffee beans for each serving.
2. Combine approximately 1-1.4 fl oz of liqueur with the cooled coffee.
3. In a bowl, add the mascarpone, cream, powdered sugar, and cream fix.
4. Use a mixer to whip the mixture, starting at low speed and gradually increasing until the cream thickens.

5. Briefly immerse each ladyfinger in the coffee-liqueur mixture for 2 seconds, snap them in half, and arrange them at the bottom of the cups.

6. Add a layer of cream over the ladyfingers, then dust with cocoa.

7. Position half of the cleaned, dried, and stemmed strawberries on the cream (slice more giant strawberries into smaller pieces if necessary).

8. Layer with the remaining soaked ladyfingers and dust again with cocoa.
9. Finish with a final layer of cream and adorn with the remaining strawberries.
Indulge in your exquisite strawberry tiramisu and savor every bite!
