You can whip up an excellent cake from a few basic ingredients with a unique mandarin twist, and the best part is- you don’t even need an oven. With just a regular pan and about 20 minutes of work, you can create a delicious dessert for the whole family to enjoy later in the day.

With mandarins as the star ingredient, a homemade baked treat has become a hit in my house. It's bound to be a hit at yours too

Ingredients:

0.71 ounces of butter,

1.76 ounces of sugar,2 large mandarins,

1 egg,

1.76 ounces of sugar,

7 tablespoons of oil,

0.3 cups of milk,

7 ounces of wheat flour,

2 teaspoons of baking powder,

powdered sugar for sprinkling.

Instructions:

Step 1. To kick things off, I combine an egg and sugar, mixing them well using a kitchen whisk.

Step 2. Next, I add oil and milk. The mixture also incorporates baking powder and sifted flour. This step ensures the resulting cake will have an extra fluffiness to it.

Ensure that you mix the ingredients thoroughly, resulting in a uniform and smooth dough.

Step 3. I then prep the mandarins. After peeling the fruits, I split them in half.

I also use tangerines for the recipe.

Step 4. I heat the pan and add the butter. As soon as it's nearly melted, I sprinkle in some granulated sugar.

Step 6. I then pour the pre-prepared mixture onto the fruits, cover the pan with a lid, and let it cook on the stove for 20 minutes.

Now all that's left is to wait.

Step 7. After frying, I transfer the finished cake to a plate and sprinkle it with powdered sugar. Feel free to serve the mandarin cake with other toppings such as chocolate or homemade royal icing. And that's it- enjoy your homemade dessert!
