Since the moment Hamas attacked Israel, there has been much speculation that Ukraine will also suffer from this conflict. US has been heavily involved in helping Israel, and some feared that this would come at the expense of war-torn Ukraine.
Oleksij Daniłow, secretary of Ukraine's National Security Council, however, dispelled fears that international interest and support will weaken in connection with the escalation of conflict between Israel and the Palestinian militant group Hamas.
The level of communication with the United States and Europe has not decreased. Cooperation is ongoing, and we receive assistance daily - emphasized the RBNO secretary.
Daniłow also admitted what needs to happen for the situation on the front to change. In his opinion, the situation will radically change after the arrival of F-16 fighters from the West to strengthen Ukrainian air defense. Then Ukraine will do everything to regain all the territory, including lands taken away in 2014.
As long as Russia continues to occupy this territory, including Crimea, there can be no talk of any negotiations - emphasized the secretary.
How many airplanes for Ukraine?
Let's recall that in August, the United States agreed to supply Ukraine with F-16 aircraft via Denmark and the Netherlands. President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky wrote on social media that as many as 42 machines will be delivered. However, it is not known exactly when this will take place.
According to Daniłow, Ukraine has entered into an informal agreement not to use weapons supplied by the West for attacks on targets within Russia itself. At the same time, Daniłow warned that objects around Moscow could become the target of domestically produced weapons.
