WhatsApp to introduce event planning feature in chats soon

The creators of WhatsApp are not slowing down and are preparing new features that will be available to users in the coming weeks and months. One of these, which some users can already test in beta trials, is the option to create individual events in chats.

The service WABetaInfo points out that events recently introduced to WhatsApp, which can be created within communities, will eventually also function in individual chats. This means users will be able to create events within conversations, allowing for better planning with a specific contact on WhatsApp.

For example, a conversation between a student and a tutor can use WhatsApp events to plan their activities more easily. In practice, these conversation elements will function similarly to shared calendars. However, combining events with a conversation can be more readable, as all communication will be contained within one window in WhatsApp.

Currently, this new option is not yet available for regular users. The feature is still being tested within the beta program and is limited in availability.

Based on past experience, such a testing stage often indicates that the release of a new feature to users is not far off. While specific dates are hard to predict, it can be speculated that it will most be a matter of months.
