What is Vladimir Putin sickness? One detail draws attention

Speculations about the health of Vladimir Putin return like a boomerang. Over the past few months, it was noticeable that the Russian politician avoids movements with his right hand. It was also noticed that when he sits, he holds on to furniture. What could be bothering him?

In May of last year, it was widely reported that Vladimir Putin is making every effort to spare his right hand. During Victory Day in Moscow, he waved to people exclusively with his left hand. He also used it to lay flowers.

This led to the reappearance of speculations about a possible illness of Vladimir Putin. This subject had been discussed several years earlier. In 2016, the ABC Health website wrote about the stiff right hand of Russia's president.

At that time, attention was drawn to the fact that Putin freely waves his left hand, while his right hand remains motionless. It then seemed that he only used it to greet by shaking hands.

Does Vladimir Putin suffer from "gunslinger's gait"?

The "British Medical Journal" then published an analysis by three neurologists from Italy, Portugal, and the Netherlands. They reviewed recordings featuring Putin and assessed that he is suffering from a "gunslinger's gait".

It involves the constant readiness of one hand to reach for a weapon. Medical professionals believe that it may be a remnant of training in the KGB. A similar condition has also been noted in Dmitri Medvedev and three high-ranking military officials.

"Daily Mail" also reported about Putin's unstable right hand. It was noticed that during one of the meetings with Alexander Lukashenko, his hand was shaking in a completely uncontrolled way.

It has been observed multiple times that Putin often holds onto furniture at various occasions - such as armrests of chairs or table tops. The media also noticed that when he sits, his right foot shakes. Attention was also drawn to the fact that the Russian president hunches over significantly.
