George Earthy, a promising young player from West Ham, was rushed to the hospital for a detailed examination after sustaining a severe head injury during his first appearance in a Premier League game.

At 19, Earthy entered the game in the 82nd minute, taking Michail Antonio's place on the field against Fulham. This opportunity marked his debut in the esteemed Premier League. However, this milestone was marred by an unfortunate incident. He had to leave the game early after an accidental collision with teammate Edson Alvarez.

After the collision, which caused an eight-minute pause in play, Earthy was stretchered off the field equipped with an oxygen mask and a neck stabilizer. Despite the scare, he was conscious upon his departure from the London Stadium.

"It was a head knock. He’s awake and gone to the hospital for checks. We think he’s OK at the moment. I’m really disappointed for George. He’s been doing really well in training and with the under-21s, getting much closer to the first team. He had some really nice touches when he came on," said West Ham's coach, David Moyes, as reported by the British media.

Earthy has been with West Ham United since he was just six years old. By 17, he had signed his first professional contract with the club. His premier appearance for the first team happened during the Europa League, contributing to a resounding 5-0 win against Freiburg. Additionally, Earthy has represented England at both the under-15 and under-16 levels.
