BulgarianMilitary notes that two S-400 systems with 51P6A launchers have appeared in Russia. The 9M96E missile carriers from the picture published on Russian Telegram channels are reportedly intended for export to India.

Many of the information provided by Russian media or government representatives are elements of propaganda. Such reports are part of the information war waged by the Russian Federation.

As we read on BulgarianMilitary, the picture of the S-400 systems published online is supposed to depict equipment that Russia is producing for India and according to the agreement - is to be delivered by the end of 2024. The author of the photo emphasizes that the ongoing war between Moscow and Kiev, coupled with the Western sanctions imposed on the Russian Federation, does not change the fact that the military industry can still fulfill its obligations.

Moving in Russia, the S-400 for India are said to be in the final stretch. They will undergo basic tests in the near future, and subsequently be ready for export to India.

BulgarianMilitary reminds that India has ordered five Russian anti-aircraft systems S-400. The agreement on this matter was signed before the war in Ukraine started, in 2018, and the purchase was responded to by the United States, which expressed concerns about the potential consequences for India's partnership with the USA.

Russian 9M96E missiles fired from 51P6A platforms, which are part of the S-400 system, are ground-to-air weapons. Their purpose is to eliminate various airborne targets - unmanned aerial vehicles, helicopters, and larger aircraft.

A single 9M96E missile weighs approximately 420 kg, measures about 5.5 m in length, and has a diameter of 0.5 m. The Russians equipped it with a fragmentation-destroying warhead, and a solid fuel rocket engine powers it.

The actual range of this missile carried by the S-400 system is up to 120 km. This means that the anti-aircraft weapon is capable of striking targets over a large area, thereby securing a relatively large number of strategically important objects.

Additionally, the 9M96E uses advanced guidance and control systems. It uses a radar sensor for tracking and attacking targets, guaranteeing high shooting accuracy. It's also worth mentioning the proximity fuse in the 9M96E missiles. This is designed to detonate the missile near the target - increasing the risk of neutralizing the enemy unit.
