Watch out for the dress code faux pas: Outrage as two wedding guests choose white dresses

Black and white are generally two colors that wedding guests should avoid when selecting their attire. The exception to this rule is a tasteful suit for men. But what transpires when women decide to appear in white at a wedding without consulting the bride earlier? This situation arose at a recent wedding.

Two women wear white dresses to a wedding

Isabella Santos Giha attended her friends' wedding. She later posted a video from the celebration on TikTok, leaving viewers appalled. The video shows two women guests wearing white dresses that resemble bridal gowns. Neither of them, however, was the bride. Isabella's video also features the real bride who couldn't conceal her dismay at seeing the two guests in white.

"Please, never wear white to someone else's wedding. It's disheartening and disrespectful," wrote Isabella under her video.

"I hope they were asked to leave"

Isabella Santos Giha's TikTok video, which has garnered over 48 million views and five million likes, sparked a flurry of reactions, especially from women. Many female internet users expressed their anger at the brazen guests in their comments.

"Everyone knows that wearing white is off limits unless the bride herself chooses a black or another colored wedding gown. This is her day. I would have asked them to leave," "I hope they were asked to leave," "This is a complete disregard for etiquette," were some of the reactions in the comments section.

"Red wine," commented another user, suggesting that spilling a drink might be a suitable punishment for their inappropriate choice of attire. This post drew the most reactions from internet users, who apparently believe this to be a fitting revenge for such behavior.
