Volkswagen has joined the cadre of brands that are integrating ChatGPT into their onboard multimedia systems. Prior to this, the Stellantis corporation announced a similar decision, particularly for their brand, DS Automobiles.

The first set of Volkswagen vehicles equipped with this advancement are set to make their debut at the CES technology fair. Volkswagen affirms that ChatGPT will be available to customers in both North America and Europe.

The manufacturer envisions various utilizations for this tool, with voice operation support being a crucial aspect. Not only will drivers and passengers control vehicle functions using their voices, but they can also pose questions on a wide array of topics. Future plans entail permitting lengthier conversations with artificial intelligence and facilitating other such interactions.

This feature will premiere in models such as the ID.4, the new Tiguan, the Passat, and the newly updated Golf. It will be gradually introduced via remote updates.
