Amir Anwary is a veterinarian who is rapidly growing his TikTok account, where he has already gathered 727,000 followers. Recently, he decided to share his opinion on popular dog breeds that many people dream of owning. Unfortunately, his insights weren't all positive.

The veterinarian warns against adorable dog breeds

A dog can be a true friend to a human. However, it is important to remember that each breed has its own needs, often dictated by its genes. Some pets require a lot of exercise, while others love lounging on the couch. Amir Anwary did not hide the fact that, as an experienced veterinarian, he would never choose five particular breeds. Dachshunds were the first he mentioned.

- They may be a cute breed, but they can be very stubborn, can bark all night, and can have very strong separation anxiety. They are also prone to a condition known as IVDD, which is a disc disease, essentially meaning back problems.

The specialist also emphasized that these animals often become obese, which can further impact their health.

The next dogs the veterinarian warned about were French Bulldogs. The specialist revealed that these types of pets often appear in his clinic due to breathing, skin, or back issues.

Dog breeds the veterinarian would not choose

Amir Anwary admitted that a Belgian Malinois would also never appear in his home. - It's not a dog. It's a machine, he stated. According to the veterinarian, a person who works full-time would not be able to give it enough attention.

- It requires constant physical and mental stimulation. (...) If it does not develop, it becomes destructive.

The specialist would also pass on a Border Collie, which, like the Malinois, needs a lot of attention and time from its owner.

It turns out that the veterinarian would also never choose a hugely popular Labrador in recent years.

- This is a breed of dogs that is very prone to being overweight. They love to eat absolutely everything. (...) I love giving my dog treats, which means my Labrador would roll everywhere, so I could never have one.
