The campaign is an initiative by the local police, who aim to raise awareness among tourists, especially foreigners, about potential dangers.

As part of the campaign, a unique information point and leaflets have also been set up. Tourists can learn what situations to avoid while sightseeing and how to behave in crowded places where pickpockets may lurk.

Warning about the "three cups" game

The main warning on the leaflets concerns the "three cups" game. This popular scam is often encountered around the train station and other places along the Grand Canal, which tourists from all over the world frequently visit. Scammers propose the game to lure tourists with the prospect of an easy win.

"Those who get drawn into it can lose money," warns the specially prepared leaflet.

The leaflets also include a QR code linking to a video explaining how the scam works.

The leaflets also contain practical tips for visitors and helpful phone numbers for law enforcement, which may prove indispensable in case of need.
