- In Venezuela, 11 civilians died during demonstrations against the re-election of Nicolas Maduro, according to several non-governmental organizations dealing with human rights in the country. Five of these deaths occurred in the capital, Caracas. "We are concerned about the use of firearms during these demonstrations," said Alfredo Romero, director of the non-governmental organization Foro Penal, noting that among the casualties were two minors.
- Riots erupted in Southport, England. A policeman was injured, and a police car was set on fire. Several hundred people had gathered near the site of a knife attack that occurred the previous day. The demonstrators had planned to honor the children and their caregivers who were killed and injured with a minute of silence. The BBC reported that A protest that began peacefully got out of control. Masked individuals started throwing stones, bricks, and bottles towards a nearby mosque.
- In a retaliatory attack carried out by Israel on Beirut, the capital of Lebanon, Fuad Shukur was killed, according to a statement from the Israeli military. Shukur served as the chief military commander for Hezbollah. The Israeli airstrike on Tuesday evening targeted Shukur, who was responsible for an attack on the Golan Heights area controlled by Israel. During that attack on Saturday, 12 people lost their lives.
