As reported, Russia asserts it has developed this "invisible cloak." It's a project being conducted by specialists from the company HiderX. Product testing is scheduled for completion by the end of January this year. But what do we know about this Russian cloak? Is it a groundbreaking innovation?

Russia's "Invisible Cloak"

Defense Express reports that the Russian cloak, allowing soldiers to "disappear" from view, is a unique, patented technology. It involves coating fabrics with a specific, undisclosed material. The cloak essentially conceals the body's heat from the ambient temperature.

The HiderX cloak is compact, small enough to fit in a pocket, and weighs only 0.77 lbs. It can be adapted for various terrains using suitable camouflage to blend with forest, sand, or urban surroundings.

In a video shared by several users, including @StapelAndrew on platform X, this Russian product effectively makes soldiers disappear on surveillance cameras. However, it is worth noting that this kind of innovation from the Russian industry is not a globally groundbreaking accomplishment.
