Valentina Matviyenko, Chairwoman of the Federation Council of Russia, suggests that Russia has not attacked anyone. Russian propaganda has been operating with doubled strength since the beginning of the war in Ukraine.

Many of the pieces of information shared by Russian media and government representatives are likely untrue. Such reports may be an element of the information war by the Russian Federation.

From the very beginning of the full-scale invasion of Ukraine in 2022, Russian propaganda has been actively functioning. Absurd theses, often accompanied by threats, are spoken by top propagandists on the Russia 1 channel.

Russian media systematically portray Ukraine as a failed state ruled by fascists and nationalists. These kinds of narratives aim to dehumanize the opponent and justify military actions. Moreover, Russian propaganda often depicts Russia as a victim of Western provocations and aggression.

The latest example of Russian propaganda comes from Valentina Matviyenko, Chairwoman of the Federation Council of Russia, who suggests that Russia has not attacked anyone.

Well, we did nothing wrong to anyone. We did not attack anyone. Unlike the United States - said the Russian woman in an interview with the well-known propagandist Olga Skabeyeva.

Who is Olga Skabeyeva?

An employee of the Russia 1 station, Olga Skabeyeva is one of the Kremlin's most loyal propagandists. For her theses, she has been placed on the European Union sanctions list.

The 39-year-old presenter hosts the program "60 Minutes," which is known for its pro-Putin, anti-Ukrainian theses. According to experts, she plays a significant role in the Russian propaganda machine, and her programs enjoy public trust in Russia.
