The oven is one kitchen appliance that gets dirty rather swiftly. Burnt fat and leftover food residues are not the easiest to clean. Often, even powerful detergents cannot eliminate stubborn stains. But help can come from an unexpected cleaning agent.

A single piece can restore your oven to brand-new

The rescue for grimy oven trays and rotisseries comes in the form of a dishwasher cleaning tablet. Simply place the tablet on a tray and pour boiling water over it. Place this dissolved solution in the oven, which should be preheated to 212 degrees.

We leave the solution inside the oven for two hours. By that time, your oven interior should sparkle as if it’s brand-new! Alternatively, we can pour a little warm water over the tablet to create a paste. Apply this paste on the dirty areas and leave it for thirty minutes. After this duration, wipe off the paste and the grime with a damp cloth.

More than just a dishwasher tablet

If you tend towards ecological cleaning methods over chemical ones, opt for vinegar and water. Mix these in a 1:1 ratio, and clean the appliance with a cloth. You can also leverage the power of steam cleaning, irrespective of whether your oven has a 'steam cleaning' function. Simply pour water into a heat-resistant dish and place it in the oven heated to 122 degrees for thirty minutes. After this time, switch off the oven and wait for it to cool. Then, clean the oven with dishwashing liquid and wipe thoroughly with a damp cloth.
