USA‑Ukraine pact rattles Moscow: Medvedev's sharp reaction

Russia reacts to the US-Ukraine agreement
The first reactions from Moscow have already surfaced regarding the US Treasury Department's announcement of the newly signed agreement, granting Washington access to Kyiv's rare earth minerals in return for establishing an investment fund in Ukraine. Deputy Chairman of the Russian Security Council Dmitry Medvedev stated that "Trump has finally forced Kyiv to pay for American aid."
"Now they will have to pay for military supplies with the national wealth of a vanishing country," Medvedev wrote on Telegram.
"The US Senate, led by Republicans, is preparing to impose more 'crushing sanctions' on us. Let's see the reaction of the new administration. Trump's ratings are falling, the 'deep state' fiercely opposes him," ranted the Deputy Chairman of the Russian Security Council. He concludes his remarks by stating, "May has started turbulently. And certainly not peacefully."
In the same post, Medvedev once again strikes at Europe—this time in the context of increased American tariffs. He writes about "crazy, old Europe" which cannot "bow down" to Trump and is in a completely different situation from resource-rich China, whose "economy will surely withstand any pressure."
