Mykhailo Podolyak announced that the new agreement with the USA regarding mineral resources will contain key elements.

Podolyak emphasized that he wanted them to correctly set the accents right away, noting that there was a lot of speculation surrounding the agreement regarding mineral resources. However, he clarified that it was a framework document paving the way for a strategic partnership with the United States.

Security guarantees and investments

The agreement, which is scheduled to be signed on Friday, provides for the creation of a Reconstruction Investment Fund. - It will include several attachments. Some will be clearly defined, containing specific numbers and describing investment programs and the distribution of profits from the joint exploitation of minerals. Other attachments will address security guarantees for Ukraine, particularly what the United States should provide to counter Russia, as the threat of war remains - noted Podolyak.

The European Pravda portal reports that Ukraine will transfer 50% of the proceeds from the extraction of deposits, including oil and gas, to the fund. On Friday, a meeting between Presidents Donald Trump and Volodymyr Zelensky will take place in Washington, where they will discuss the partnership details in exploiting Ukrainian natural resources.

The meeting of the presidents aims to finalize the agreement's details, which holds strategic significance for both countries.
