On Thursday, during a joint press conference with Norwegian Prime Minister Jonas Gahr Støre, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky announced that next Monday delegations from Kyiv and Washington will meet in Saudi Arabia to develop a strategy that could lead to the cessation of hostilities.

Importantly, the Monday talks between Ukraine and the USA will take place independently of the US-Russia talks, also planned for Monday in Saudi Arabia.

In addition to sharing details about the upcoming meeting, Zelensky reiterated his call to maintain sanctions on Russia until hostile forces begin withdrawing from Ukrainian territory.
