The military aid provided to Israel is expected to aid in the expulsion of Hamas, a terrorist organization that has controlled the Gaza Strip since 2006, as stated in the newspaper's Friday article.

Washington has given Israel 100 BLU-109 bombs, potent enough to penetrate specially reinforced anti-bomb structures. These bombs could be utilized to destroy underground tunnels.

Hamas, the builders of these tunnels, publicly claim they extend roughly 310 miles in total, IDF is yet working tirelessly to destroy them.

US urges Israel to take more measures to safeguard civilians

Though the United States supports Israel’s efforts, it also encourages the country to strive to reduce civilian casualties in the conflict.

The United States Vice President, Kamala Harris, corroborated during a Saturday press briefing that Israel retains a legitimate right to enact military operations against Hamas. However, she advocated for more actions to protect civilians in Gaza.

Frankly speaking, the extent of civilian suffering, image, and film documentation from the Gaza Strip is deeply unsettling, Harris told media representatives.
