Biden spoke with the Prime Minister of Israel and the leader of the Palestinian Authority. Mahmud Abbas said that he rejects the "displacement of Palestinians from the Gaza Strip".

On Saturday, the President of the United States, Joe Biden, had separate phone conversations with two key figures in the Middle East. His interlocutors were the Prime Minister of Israel, Benjamin Netanyahu, and the leader of the Palestinian Authority, Mahmoud Abbas. This information was provided by the Reuter's agency, which cited sources from the press services of both politicians.

During a conversation with the U.S. president, the Israeli prime minister expressed his gratitude for the support he received from the American government. Netanyahu emphasized that in order to achieve the intended military objectives in the conflict with Hamas, a terrorist organization controlling the Gaza Strip, "unity and determination" are necessary. This information was provided by the Israel's prime minister's press office.

Meanwhile, Mahmud Abbas, the leader of the Palestinian Authority, expressed his strong opposition to the "eviction of Palestinians from the Gaza Strip" in a conversation with Biden. Abbas was referring to the planned land operation of the Israeli military, which is meant to be a response to the bloody attack by Hamas on Israeli territory, which occurred on October 7th.

He emphasized that he rejects such actions because of their consequences for the Palestinian population.
