Queensland, one of six Australian states situated in the northeastern part of the country, recently witnessed this crocodile encounter.

Crocodile Attack

Queensland, known as the ‘Crocodile Center,' is believed to house about 20-30 thousand of these large and dangerous reptiles. As quoted by local media, residents have spotted crocodiles in every river, stream, and beach across the area.

While most Australians residing there are familiar with the suitable conduct during a potential run-in with this dangerous creature, these animals can often act unpredictably. A case in point is a resident of the seaside settlement of St. Helen's Beach.

The individual ventured out to the Jane Creek river for fishing. Having fished at this location for several years, the man did not foresee any impending danger.

Frightening Moments in Australia

After sailing for a few hours, the man noticed a lurking crocodile approaching him. Moving to the back of the boat and starting the engine, he hoped to ward off the reptile. Instead, the animal swam under his boat. Just when he thought the scare was over, the crocodile surged out of the water and onto his boat.

Quickly retrieving the anchor, the man watched as the crocodile plunged back into the water. Fortunately, there were no further attacks, and the fisherman returned to shore unharmed. Thoroughly unnerved by the unusual behavior of the animal, he promptly reported the incident to local officials. Wildlife worker, Jane Burns, stated a team was dispatched to locate and study the crocodile.
