- 2.6 lbs pork loin,
- 1 large onion,
- 1 apple,
- 0.55 lbs smoked bacon,
- 1 cone cabbage.
Marinade:
- 1/2 cup vegetable oil,
- 2 tablespoons sweet paprika,
- 1 tablespoon dried garlic,
- 1 tablespoon dried thyme,
- 1 teaspoon cloves,
- 1/3 teaspoon cinnamon.
Method of Preparation:
Step 1. Start by preparing the marinade for the pork loin. Combine vegetable oil, sweet paprika, dried garlic, dried thyme, cinnamon, cloves, pepper, and salt. Mix these ingredients thoroughly using a regular kitchen brush.
Step 2. Place a cleaned and dried pork loin on a cutting board. Slice the meat along its entire length to create small pockets.
Step 3. Spread the aromatic marinade evenly over the pork. The kitchen brush comes in handy at this stage, helping to ensure a quick, efficient process.
Step 4. In each pocket of the pork loin, tuck in pieces of onion, apple, and bacon. But that's not all – also, scatter chopped cone cabbage around the loin in the baking dish.
Step 5. Drizzle the additional marinade over the prepped dish. Then, cover the baking dish with aluminum foil and place it in a preheated oven for 1.5 hours set to 356 degrees Fahrenheit. After this time, remove the foil to bake it uncovered for an additional 30 minutes.
Step 6. Serve the ready dish sprinkled with chopped parsley. This dish never fails to thrill my loved ones!
