The ICJ considered South Africa's request for extraordinary measures against Israel due to the ongoing war in Gaza.

"Israel has to ensure that its armed forces refrain from committing acts of genocide in the Gaza Strip. It also has a responsibility to take action to ameliorate the humanitarian situation," the ICJ stated.

The court refrained from ordering a ceasefire in the Gaza Strip, highlights the Associated Press.
