The territory of the Russian Federation is increasingly within the range of Ukrainian weapons. A new map published by the Department of Strategic Communications of the Armed Forces of Ukraine shows that record-breaking shots reach up to 1,118 miles into Russia.

The Ukrainians regularly conduct new attacks targeting critical facilities in the Russian Federation. Typically, the defending army strikes oil refineries, weapon warehouses, and other military facilities where the aggressor stores valuable machinery. However, today's arms race is about hitting the opponent's territory with the greatest strength possible and how far allied missiles and drones can reach.

Record-breaking Ukrainian shots

According to a map prepared by the Department of Strategic Communications of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, which shows record-breaking strikes into the territory of the Russian Federation, the line of real threat in the aggressor's country is increasingly moving eastward.

Until recently, a significant achievement was a strike about 497 miles into the Russian Federation. The next barrier that the Ukrainians managed to overcome was striking 621 miles in a single flight of Allied weapons. According to the graphic, the record-breaking shot was made at a distance of about 1,118 miles. This refers to a strike aimed at the city of Orsk, located in the southern part of the Ural Mountains, at the border of the European and Asian parts of Russia.

According to the Ukrainians' findings, most of European Russia is now within their range. The defenders handle strikes at distances of at least 497 miles without difficulty. However, it is worth noting that the Armed Forces of Ukraine are usually forced to conduct shelling far from the borders with Russia, as these are areas occupied by the aggressor, making it difficult to conduct strikes.

Ukrainians have the right equipment to reach deep into Russia

Among the weapons that the Ukrainians possess that can hit very distant points in the territory of the Russian Federation, the most notable are the Bobry drones. Their full specifications remain a secret, but publicly available information indicates their range is about 621 miles. The Bobry's wingspan reaches 11 feet, while its takeoff weight is just a few dozen pounds, and its maximum speed does not exceed 124 mph.

Also noteworthy is the recently presented (developed since 2022) Sokół-300 drone, which is designed to reach targets up to 2,051 miles from the launch point. The new Ukrainian weapon can carry a payload of up to 661 pounds. The wingspan of the Sokół-300 is about 46 feet.

Other long-range constructs currently in Ukraine's arsenal include the UJ-22 Airborne and Rubaka drones. The first can reach a distance of about 497 miles, while the Rubakas can cover about 311 miles.
