Ukrainian strike sinks Russian submarine and destroys missile complex
Ukrainian forces sank the Russian submarine "Rostov-on-Don" in the military port of Sevastopol and destroyed the S-400 Triumf missile complex in occupied Crimea, the General Staff of Ukraine announced on Saturday.

"According to confirmed information, yesterday (Friday) missile forces, in cooperation with units of the Ukrainian Navy, significantly damaged four launchers of the Triumf air defense system," the General Staff announced on Telegram.
In addition, in the port of Sevastopol, the Black Sea Fleet submarine of the Russian Federation "Rostov-on-Don" was successfully hit. As a result of the hit, the submarine sank on the spot, it was reported.
The General Staff explained that the submarine B-237 "Rostov-on-Don" (Kilo class in NATO classification) is one of four Kilo-class submarines equipped with Kalibr cruise missiles.
The unit was commissioned on December 26, 2014. On September 13, 2023, a Ukrainian missile attack significantly damaged the submarine, which is estimated to be worth $300 million.
"The destruction of the submarine 'Rostov-on-Don' once again proves that there is no safe place for the Russian fleet in the Ukrainian territorial waters of the Black Sea," stated the General Staff of Ukraine.
