DeepState, a group of military analysts, cited sources in the Armed Forces of Ukraine who reported the execution of Ukrainian soldiers on Thursday in Russia.
The analysts explained that the Ukrainians encountered Russian forces while returning to their positions and surrendered due to a lack of ammunition.
Human rights commissioner reacts
The Ukrainian Human Rights Commissioner announced on Telegram that "such actions constitute a blatant violation of the Geneva Convention on the Treatment of Prisoners of War." He also mentioned that he sent letters to the UN and the International Committee of the Red Cross to inform them about another Russian war crime.
"Russia is a terrorist country that breaks all rules and customs of war. The international community should not turn a blind eye to such crimes," Lubinets urged on social media.
At the beginning of October, the Ukrainian Prosecutor General's Office reported the execution of 16 Ukrainian prisoners by Russians near the villages of Mykolaivka and Sukhy Yar in the Pokrovsky district, located in the Donetsk region in eastern Ukraine. The Ukrainian institution emphasized that this was the largest mass murder committed against Ukrainian prisoners on the front line.
