Ukrainian pilot down in Kherson amid calls for more arms
A pilot from Ukraine's 299th Tactical Aviation Brigade was killed at the front. Russian sources previously reported the downing of a Su-25 in the Kherson region.
Ukraine's Air Force highlights that pilots are operating at the edge of their capabilities, using all available foreign weapons. "Pilots strike while actively countering enemy forces. To effectively complete their missions, they must consistently enter the enemy's air defense zone and endure significant g-forces during dangerous operations," states the Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
The Air Force statement also includes a call to Western partners for additional resources and weapons. "We will avenge every Ukrainian whose heart has stopped beating due to Russia's senseless war of aggression," reads a social media post.
Dramatic end to the Russian attack
Russian channels had earlier reported that the Ukrainian Su-25, a twin-engine assault aircraft of Soviet design, was shot down in the Kherson region. The report included the code "200," which in Russian military jargon refers to the transport of a deceased soldier's body.
The Russian Armed Forces launched a massive missile attack on Ukraine using Kinzhal and Kh-101 hypersonic missiles. The target was the Dnipro, which alarmed the Ukrainian air forces due to the difficulty of intercepting these missiles. Despite their advanced technology, Russian missiles sometimes exhibit technical problems.
Ukrainians strike at ammunition depots
On the night from Monday to Tuesday, the Ukrainian armed forces carried out a precise attack on a Russian weapons depot in the Bryansk region. Ammunition from North Korea was destroyed there, indicating ongoing military support deliveries to Moscow. Ukraine's effective actions aim to weaken Russia's military potential by targeting strategic resources.
The Armed Forces of Ukraine announced continued efforts to destroy Russian ammunition depots. The conducted military strikes exemplify successful operations that weaken the enemy's military capabilities. These attacks underscore Ukraine's determination in responding to Russian aggression.
