"The enemy is massively identifying IP ranges in our territories and connecting to unprotected video surveillance cameras remotely, viewing everything from private yards to roads and highways of strategic importance," the statement from the Russian Ministry of Internal Affairs reads.
"It is highly discouraged to use online dating services. The enemy actively uses such resources for the covert collection of information," it added. Additionally, Russian authorities recommend that citizens refrain from posting recordings made during travels to avoid accidentally revealing 'objects of importance to the enemy.'
The recommendation applies to areas bordering Ukraine: Kursk, Bryansk, and Belgorod.
Ukraine's operation in the Kursk region
The Ukrainian army's attack on the Kursk region began on August 6. The territory in the Kursk region of Russia, which Ukrainian forces have occupied, has expanded to 488 square miles, and the number of settlements under our control to 93, stated Gen. Oleksandr Syrskyi, the commander-in-chief of the Ukrainian army, on Tuesday.
Due to the Ukrainian offensive, more than 122,000 residents have been forced to evacuate from the Kursk region.
