The assault was executed with three missile projectiles, likely fired from HIMARS launchers. The independent Russian media noted that the total number of casualties, including the killed and wounded, is still uncertain, referencing their sources.
Reports also indicate that the Luhansk region attack is among several similar operations recently carried out by Ukrainian forces. In the latter half of February, the Ukrainian military confirmed at least three missile strikes targeting Russian invader groups around the occupied town of Nova Kakhovka in the Kherson region. According to Andriy Yuso, a representative of the Ukrainian military intelligence (GUR), these attacks resulted in the deaths of more than 60 aggressor troops.

In the same timeframe, a comparable attack targeted Russian military forces near the village of Trudiwskie in the Donetsk region's Volnovakha district. The Russian BBC reported that this attack also led to the death of at least 60 military personnel.
