The Ukrainians have repeatedly shown resilience against Russian invaders with their self-created weaponry. One of their latest creations is a kamikaze drone, which, due to its capabilities, could pose a severe threat to the enemy forces. What makes this machine, known as the "Mammoth", unique?

Images and a brief description of this new Ukrainian weapon have circulated online. Additionally, a video confirming the successful deployment of the "Mammoth" on the frontline has also been published, demonstrating its effectiveness in hitting chosen targets accurately.

"We welcome you to view our addition to the arsenal. We have kept this a secret for a long time to avoid mishaps during its development and testing phase. We've carefully calibrated, improved, and resolved initial glitches until this sturdy creation was ready," the creators wrote in a concise report.

The photograph reveals that the new Ukrainian drone is of substantial size. In reality, it outweighs and exceeds the dimensions of most similar constructs. This size, however, contributes to its key feature - the "Mammoth" can carry loads up to approximately 9 lbs.

The distributed footage of an attack on Russians hidden in a building in the occupied Kherson oblast illustrates the significant damage caused by the resulting explosion.

Importance of drones in the Ukrainian conflict

The particular range of this drone is dependent on the weight of the payload. It can reach up to 18.6 miles when carrying a load not exceeding roughly 3.3 lbs. If utilizing its full capacity and carrying a load close to 9 lbs, the range decreases to approximately 7.5 miles.

The Ukraine conflict has demonstrated the crucial role of various drones in modern armed confrontations. Ukrainians are continually developing advanced designs capable of operating at a distance of several hundred kilometers, like the Beaver, Rubaka, and Sea Baby drones that have been instrumental in counteracting the Black Sea Fleet. The widespread use of kamikaze drones by both sides of the conflict attests to their effectiveness as weapons.
