Ukrainian HIMARS strike kills three top Russian officers
Three high-ranking Russian officers were killed due to operations by Ukrainian services in the Zaporizhzhia region. Reportedly, the Russians died during an attack on a convoy of vehicles.
The report noted that Ukrainian special services officers obtained intelligence about a planned meeting involving officers from the 4th Guards Military Base of the Russian occupation forces in the Zaporizhzhia region.
After verifying the information, an operation plan was developed, supported by the "Tavria" Operational Group, the Unmanned Systems Forces, and the "Typhoon" Tactical Group of the Security Service of Ukraine.
Ukrainians hit with HIMARS
Immediately following the start of the field briefing, Ukrainian forces conducted a precision strike using HIMARS rocket launchers on a convoy of Russian officers' vehicles. When the evacuation team arrived, Ukrainian security and defense forces launched assault drones to strike the Russians.
The report stated that as a result of the operation, three officers of the Russian armed forces were killed: Dmitry Nagorny, commander of the 1st Battalion of the 135th Motor Rifle Regiment; Grigory Krokhmalov, deputy chief of staff for intelligence and chief of intelligence of the 135th Motor Rifle Regiment; and Captain Yuri Fomin, commander of the anti-aircraft battery of the 4th Guards Military Base.
