Russian armed forces have once again deployed their experimental tank on the front lines in Ukraine. This tank is called the "turtle" because its additional armor resembles that of an animal. A video has surfaced online showing the Armed Forces of Ukraine destroying enemy equipment. The explosion was powerful.

A new Russian vehicle appeared in Ukraine relatively recently, in April 2024. As they are known, turtle tanks initially became the subject of jokes and mockery regarding the Russian army.

The large silhouette resulting from the metal plates installed on the T-62, T-72, or T-80 tanks proved to be a solution that only looked unimposing.

On the upper part of the "turtle shell," you can see, among other things, mounted electronic warfare systems. Their role is to counter Ukrainian kamikaze drones approaching the tank.

For several weeks, however, the Ukrainians did not publish evidence confirming the destruction of any of the new turtle tanks.

Despite the seemingly odd modification of these vehicles, there was an effective method of coping in battles. Eventually, they found a way to deal with Russian construction.

A short video appeared on platform X, showing a powerful explosion of a "turtle." A humorous caption was added to the video: "These are not the same turtles as they used to be..."

The tank is most likely moving in the company of allied troops and jamming signals to prevent Ukrainian drones from launching an attack near the passing "turtle."

The situation on the front has significantly worsened for the Russians after the decision of the United States. The Americans have finally given - albeit limited - permission for Ukrainians to use their weapons to attack targets on Russian territory. This pertains to the border region in the Kharkiv oblast. Ukrainians are prohibited from using MGM-140 ATACMS ballistic missiles in this case.
