Ukrainian forces hold strong against Russian push in Pokrovsk
The Ukrainian armed forces are fiercely defending Pokrovsk from Russian attacks, as reported by Oleksandr Syrsky.
The Ukrainian armed forces are taking every possible measure to prevent Pokrovsk from being captured by Russian troops. Oleksandr Syrsky, the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, emphasized their determination to defend the city in an interview with military correspondent Andriy Tsaplienko. The opponent is making every effort to capture Pokrovsk, and we are doing everything to defend it, assured Syrsky, as quoted by the Ukrinform agency.
Russian forces in Pokrovsk
Syrsky pointed out that the Russian army is concentrating its top units in Pokrovsk. Some "prophets" predicted we would lose Pokrovsk by September 30, 2024, but that did not happen. Then they spoke about October 30. I just want to say that the opponent is focusing their best troops there, added Syrsky. The Russians can rotate their forces, which gives them an advantage in offensive operations.
According to Ukrinform, Syrsky shared his insights on the potential plans of the Russian army and the steps the Armed Forces of Ukraine are taking to counter them with members of the NATO Military Committee.
