A video shot at the Supreme Commander's headquarters was published on social media. The President of Ukraine admitted for the first time that Ukrainian troops are conducting an operation in the Kursk region.

"The most important: Commander-in-Chief Oleksandr Syrskyi reported on our defensive actions on the front and our operations in the Kursk region," wrote Zelensky.

Syrski, who participated in the meeting via video link, stated that the Armed Forces of Ukraine control about 386 square miles of Russian territory.

Zelensky notified that an order was issued to the Minister of Internal Affairs of Ukraine and officials of the Security Service of Ukraine to prepare a humanitarian plan for the operational territory in the Kursk region.

"We are grateful to all soldiers and commanders for their resilience and decisive actions. Among other things, we have instructed the Minister of Internal Affairs, other Government officials, and the Security Service of Ukraine to prepare a humanitarian plan for the area of operation," stated Zelensky.

The Russians also mention Ukraine's successes in the Kursk region. 28 localities of the Kursk region are under enemy control. The fate of about 2,000 residents is unknown, as reported to Vladimir Putin on Monday by the governor of the region, Alexei Smirnov.
