Ukrainian forces down high-altitude Russian drone in Kharkiv region
The Voron group from the anti-aircraft and artillery division shot down a Russian Orlan-10 drone over the Kharkiv region at an altitude of 11,880 feet. The operation was challenging due to the high altitude and the continuous changes in the UAV's flight direction. This marks the first time a drone has been successfully shot down at such a significant height.

Soldiers of the Voron group from the anti-aircraft and artillery division shot down a Russian Orlan-10 drone over the Kharkiv region. The unmanned aerial vehicle was detected at an altitude of 11,880 feet and destroyed.
"As soon as the Orlan-10 UAV was spotted, the Voron group from the anti-aircraft and artillery division moved to the target area. In cooperation with border colleagues, they determined the course and altitude of the target. On-site, one of the soldiers prepared the equipment, and then two other crew members took action," reported the Kharkiv regional military unit.
The military emphasizes that the unique conditions made the entire operation extremely difficult. The drone was flying at a high altitude and continuously changing its flight path. The mission's success was attributed to the skills and composure of the Ukrainian soldiers.
