Ukrainian engineer redefines bicycle with innovative tank tread design
An extraordinary bicycle project has appeared on YouTube, redefining the traditional wheel concept. Its creator is Sergiej Gordiejew, an engineer from Ukraine known for his channel, The Q. While this bicycle is rideable, it is not a practical solution, but it will undoubtedly interest technology enthusiasts and internet trend followers.

Sergiej Gordiejew gained popularity thanks to his creative ideas and engineering skills showcased on the channel The Q. He previously presented a bicycle with square wheels, and now he has moved on to an even more unusual project—a bike that has no wheels at all—at least not in the traditional sense of the word. Despite this, the device can ride and push the boundaries of typical engineering solutions.
Gordiejew modified an ordinary bicycle, replacing the classic wheels with a caterpillar mechanism inspired by technologies used in tanks and construction machinery.
The newly created bicycle indeed has no wheels but allows for riding. Tests showed that it moves slowly and is noisy, but it is fully functional on flat and smooth surfaces, provided there is no need for turning.
Reinvented the wheel. But why?
The goal of The Q project was not to create an alternative to classic bicycles. Instead, it displayed creative ingenuity rather than a practical application of technology.
One of the comments under the YouTube video summarizing the project suggests that the vehicle offers a speed comparable to walking but requires significantly more physical effort. Gordiejew admits that his project doesn't make much practical sense, but he treated it as fun and an engineering challenge.
