The Ukrainian army continues its attacks on military facilities in Russia. Overnight in the town of Kalach-on-Don in the Volgograd region, explosions were heard. These were likely caused by a Ukrainian drone attack on a nearby airport used by the Russian military.

Witnesses reported about ten loud explosions accompanied by the characteristic sound of flying drones and a fire glow visible in the night sky.

As a result of the attack, a fire broke out near Marinovka, located about 12 miles from Kalach-on-Don. There is a military airport in that area, likely used by Russia to conduct attacks on Ukraine. It is about 186 miles from the border with the Luhansk region in Ukraine.

The governor of the Volgograd region, Andrey Bocharov, confirmed that hostile drones appeared over the region at night. According to him, most of them were destroyed by anti-missile defense. Despite recordings showing large fires, he stated that the remaining drones did not cause significant damage.

There is also no information about casualties at this time.
