From Thursday night into Friday, Ukrainians launched a significant attack on multiple sites in Russia. The Russian Ministry of Defense reported Thursday evening about the Ukrainian drone attacks in the Kursk, Ryazan, and Bryansk regions, as well as in Crimea and areas near Moscow, according to Reuters.

Videos quickly appeared online showing the aftermath of the night attack. Among the targets was the refinery in Ryazan. Additionally, three Moscow airports—Vnukovo, Domodedovo, and Zhukovsky—suspended all flights. One such video captured the explosion at the attacked refinery, prompting people gathered around to flee in panic.

By morning, air traffic was halted in the airports of Kazan, Nizhnekamsk, Penza, Samara, and Saratov. Residents of Engels, Saratov, and Bryansk also reported hearing explosions.

Uneasy night also in Ukraine

The Russians carried out a nighttime attack as well, utilizing drones. They targeted residential areas in Kyiv. The State Emergency Service of Ukraine reported that drone debris struck a 10-story residential building, igniting a fire and causing damage on the 6th and 7th floors.

Rescuers stated that 150 residents were evacuated from the building. At least one person was killed in the attack, and the rescue operation at the site is still ongoing.
