April 6, 2024, marks the 773rd day of the war in Ukraine. As the conflict prolongs, it produces significant video footage, making it the most well-documented armed conflict in history.

This particular footage likely originates from a drone, showcasing the skillful control that Ukrainian operators have developed over more than two years of enduring Russian aggression.

Yet, in this showcased video, filmed somewhere along the front lines in Ukraine, a ground drone emerges as the star. Tasked with destroying a bridge, the UAV advances toward its objective.

Destroying the bridge, most likely to hinder the Russian forces' advance, showcases how modern technology allows sappers to carry out demolitions remotely. A rover facilitated this operation.

Explosives successfully delivered. A Ukrainian ground drone destroyed a bridge near Bakhmut. Video material provided by the 5th Assault Brigade — according to a post by the Ukrainian Ministry of Defense on the X(Twitter) platform.

In the footage the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine shared, viewers can see the drone navigating towards the bridge. Despite obstacles and gaps, the rover adeptly maneuvers through them all.

The mission seemed routine until the rover encountered an unexpected gap on the bridge, into which it fell. The operator’s reaction, a surprised "Uuuuuła," is heard just before the drone flips over.

Thankfully, the charges exploded almost instantly, leaving the bridge a thing of the past. It was a close call.
