Russia is preparing for an offensive
In recent weeks, Russia has intensified its offensive actions on various fronts in Ukraine. According to the RBK-Ukraine portal, the aggressors are trying to seize more territory to improve their position before potential peace talks.
Russian forces have reduced Ukraine's territory in the Kursk region to approximately 20 square miles. These successes could lead to new threats, as Russia might use tens of thousands of troops to attack other fronts. The Sumy and Kharkiv regions are particularly at risk, as Russia plans to create a buffer zone.
According to PAP, in the Lyman direction, the Russians continue their assault along the western bank of the Zherebets River. In the Donetsk region, in Toretsk, the situation is escalating, and the Russians have pushed Ukrainian forces from the central part of the city. Nonetheless, Ukrainian counterattacks near Pokrovsk have slowed the Russian advance. In southern Ukraine, in the Kherson direction, the situation remains stable. Russian forces are attempting to fortify themselves on the Dnipro islands, but they are targets of Ukrainian artillery.
