Kuleba, the Ukrainian Foreign Minister, believed that the Baltic states would defend themselves to the best of their abilities if faced with a Russian assault. However, he stressed that it would take NATO a few days to organize an adequate response.

"In the end, I believe that NATO will prevail. But consider the devastation in Bakhmut and Avdiivka; that's the likely fate of the Baltic region after prolonged military engagements. Your cities, including the beautiful Vilnius, might not survive intact," Kuleba remarked, as reported by rbc.ua.

The Foreign Minister highlighted that supporting Ukraine is the most cost-effective and secure strategy to prevent an armed conflict with Moscow.

He noted that some countries, including Lithuania, grasped the seriousness of the situation and consequently extended support to Kyiv. "Others, however, seem to believe they can sidestep the issue," he added.
