The Ukrainian army launched a effective rocket attack on the 810th Russian Naval Infantry Brigade, stationed in the village for the Russian Artillery Day celebrations.

During the Ukrainian attack, 25 military personnel, permanently stationed in Sevastopol, were reported to be killed and nearly a hundred others were severely injured.

The death of 51-year-old artist, Polina Menshikh, who was contributing to the celebrations, was also confirmed by the Russian agency RIA Novosti.

The Ukrainian operation is alleged to be a retaliation for the killing of 19 soldiers from the 128th special unit of the Transcarpathian brigade of Ukraine. These soldiers died in a Russian attack on November 3.

The Ukrainian military command released a statement on Telegram: "Ukraine's defense forces obtained operational information about the Russians' celebration location and warmly welcomed them!"
