The Russians assert that Ukrainians have started using a new long-range drone type. However, there is currently no evidence to unequivocally confirm this, although Russian media has shown photos purportedly depicting remnants of the Ukrainian drone.

According to the Ukrainian service Defence Blog, the drone might be the LORD model, developed by the startup Differentiators specifically for the Armed Forces of Ukraine. The company, which Russian dissident Mikhail Kokorich reportedly founded, has not confirmed any involvement in developing this drone.

Available information suggests that the LORD is an unmanned aerial vehicle designed for various missions. Depending on the version, it can travel from 470 to over 1,240 miles. If Ukrainian soldiers have indeed added it to their equipment, this means the LORD is one of the longest-range drones in Ukraine's arsenal, enabling attacks deep within Russian territory.

As reported by Defence Blog, the LORD's extensive range and versatility raise concerns among Russian officials, particularly regarding its potential use in long-range kamikaze operations. From the manufacturer's perspective, it is noted that it was developed to allow rapid, mass production with simultaneously low costs and high component availability. "It offers an unbeatable payload-to-price ratio," the statement reads. The manufacturer also claims that the drone has a small radar footprint and can optionally operate without radio signals, enhancing its capability for stealth operations.
