Ukraine reported the recovery of the bodies of 502 soldiers who died in battles with the Russian army in the east of the country.

Among the recovered bodies, 485 are from the front lines in the Donetsk, Luhansk, and Zaporizhzhia regions, while 17 bodies were retrieved from morgues in Russia.

Another exchange

The previous exchange of bodies between Ukraine and Russia took place on November 8, when 563 fallen soldiers were returned to Ukraine.

This process is part of broader efforts to recover the remains of Ukrainian military personnel, which are located on territory controlled by Russia or within Russia itself.
