How did the operation proceed?

The Ukrainian 3rd Army Corps announced the success of the military operation that led to the liberation of Nadiia in the Luhansk region.

"Nadiia in the Luhansk region is liberated! (...) The total area recovered from enemy hands is about one square mile," stated a communication from the Ukrainian corps. Why is Nadiia strategically important?

The town of Nadiia, located near the border with the Kharkiv region, was a key strategic point for Russian forces.

"The capture of Nadiia, located near the border with the Kharkiv region, cost the enemy two months of efforts and two destroyed mechanized regiments - the 752nd and 254th from the 20th Army of the Armed Forces of Russia," noted Colonel Andriy Biletsky, commander of the 3rd Corps. Recovering this town is a significant step toward restoring control over the entire Luhansk region.
